Class 7 is usually the year students start writing proper three-hour exams with long answers, maps and diagrams. And this year the English, Maths, Science and Social books are the new ones, so last year’s guides and old question papers are not much help any more.
That is why we prepared fresh Andhra 7th SA1 model question papers for 2026-27, based on the new books. Every subject has two separate model papers, and every paper has its own answer key. Diagrams, graphs and the India map are printed in the papers where the question needs them, and the keys show the labelled diagrams and answer maps. Download links are in the table below. Please note: these are model papers written by our team for practice. They are not the official SA1 papers and not “leaked” papers. The real SA1 paper is set by SCERT and will be different, but the pattern will be the same.

SA1 Question Paper Pattern for Class 7
Every Class 7 SA1 paper is for 80 marks, with four sections and a choice only in the last section. Unlike Class 8, Science is a single General Science paper, not two separate papers.
| Section | Type of question | Questions | Marks |
|---|---|---|---|
| A | Multiple choice (objective) | 20 × 1 | 20 |
| B | Short answer | 4 × 2 | 8 |
| C | Answer in 4–5 lines / problems | 5 × 4 | 20 |
| D | Long answer (internal choice) | 4 × 8 | 32 |
| Total | 33 | 80 | |
Our papers are set for 3 hours. Check your school timetable for the exact timing.
One thing worth knowing about the new books: they ask you to think rather than repeat. In Maths you will see matchstick patterns, magic squares and questions where you have to explain why something is always odd or even. We have put questions of that kind in the papers so they don’t come as a surprise.
What is in the Answer Keys
The keys don’t just give a letter for each question. They show what a full-mark answer looks like.
- Maths: every sum worked out step by step with step marks, angle figures with all angles marked, the triangle constructions with compass arcs, and the completed magic square.
- General Science: tables for indicator colours, acids and bases, metals and non-metals, and conductors and insulators; a torch circuit diagram, circuit symbols, and the rusting activity diagram.
- Social: an answer map for each set with the mountains, rivers and places marked, plus the completed timelines and the weather instruments named.
- English: grammar answers, answers to the poem and passage questions, and points to cover in letters, diary entries, stories and the bar graph paragraph.
- Telugu and Hindi: సంధి, సమాసం, అర్థాలు / मुहावरे with sentences, answers to the unseen poems and passages, and value points for lesson answers, letters and essays.
Teachers can use the keys for valuation too. Each key starts with a short note on how to award marks.
How to Use These Andhra 7th SA1 Model Papers
Just reading a model paper and then its key won’t help you much. Here is a better way.
- Finish your lessons first. Keep the model papers for the last two or three weeks before SA1.
- Write Set 1 in one sitting. Set a timer for three hours. No textbook, no guide, no phone.
- Correct it yourself with Answer Key Set 1. If you missed a step, a label or a part of the question, cut the marks honestly.
- Write down where you lost marks. It is usually the same few things: a formula, a diagram label, a grammar point, the map.
- Practise only those, then write Set 2 a few days later and check it with Answer Key Set 2.
A few things that cost Class 7 students marks:
- Section D has a choice in every question. Read both options before you start writing.
- In Maths, write the reason for every angle (linear pair, vertically opposite, corresponding). The reason carries marks.
- In Science, draw circuit diagrams with the proper symbols, not pictures of bulbs and batteries.
- In Social, practise the map on a blank outline map. Mountain ranges and rivers should be drawn along the right line, not as a dot.
- In Telugu and Hindi letters, don’t forget the place, date, greeting and closing.
Model Papers for Other Classes

- Andhra 10th SA1 model question papers 2026-27
