For many children, Class 6 is the first year of high school, and SA1 is the first big exam there. New subjects, new teachers, and a three-hour paper with long answers and maps. It is natural to feel a little nervous, and the best way to settle that is to write a couple of practice papers at home before the real one.
Here are our Andhra 6th SA1 model question papers for 2026-27. There are two separate papers for every subject, each with its own answer key, based on the new Class 6 books and the SA1 portion announced for this year. Diagrams, a bar graph, a pictograph and a world map are printed in the papers wherever the question needs them. Download links are in the table below. Please note: these are model papers written by our team for practice. They are not the official SA1 papers and not “leaked” papers. The real SA1 paper is set by SCERT and will be different, but the pattern will be the same.

AP SA1 Time Table 2026-27 for Class 6
The Director of School Education released the timetable on 28 October 2026 (Rc. No. 3475819/SAT-I/2026-27). SA1 starts on Monday, 9 November 2026. Classes 6 and 7 write in the afternoon session, 1:15 PM to 4:15 PM.

- There is no exam from 13 to 15 November, so there are three free days before Science.
- 17 November is the Biological Science paper for Classes 8 to 10. Class 6 has no exam that day – a good day to revise Social.
- As per the proceedings, valuation is to be completed by 25 November and progress cards given by 30 November 2026.

SA1 Question Paper Pattern for Class 6
Every Class 6 SA1 paper is for 80 marks, with four sections and a choice only in the last section. Science is a single General Science paper.

A note for parents: Hindi in Class 6 is now a beginners’ book – letters, matras, simple words and small poems. So the Hindi papers are kept at that level. Don’t worry if your child is just starting Hindi this year.
What is in the Answer Keys
- Maths: every sum worked out with steps – patterns, Kaprekar’s routine, palindromes, prime factorisation – plus the angle types, tally tables and bar graphs drawn out.
- General Science: labelled leaves and roots, magnets marked attract or repel, types of motion, and tables of nutrients and deficiency diseases.
- Social: a world answer map for each set with the continents, oceans, Equator and Prime Meridian marked, plus the globe and compass rose filled in.
- English: answers to grammar, passage and lesson questions, and points to cover in letters, paragraphs and stories.
- Telugu and Hindi: answers to the grammar and poem questions, and value points or sample sentences for the longer answers.
Teachers can use the keys for valuation too. Each key starts with a short note on how to award marks.
How to Use These Andhra 6th SA1 Model Papers
- Finish your lessons first. Keep the model papers for the last week or two before SA1.
- Write Set 1 in one sitting. Since your exam is in the afternoon, try sitting from 1:15 to 4:15 at home once.
- Check it with Answer Key Set 1, with a parent or elder sibling if you like.
- Note what you got wrong – a map item, an angle type, a spelling – and practise only those.
- Write Set 2 a few days later and check it with Answer Key Set 2.
A few small things that cost marks in Class 6:
- Read both options in Section D before you start writing.
- In Maths, show your steps even for small sums.
- In Science, draw leaves, roots and magnets neatly and label them.
- In Social, practise marking continents and oceans on a blank world map.
- In letters, don’t forget the date, greeting and closing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are these the real AP 6th class SA1 question papers for 2026?
No. These are model papers prepared on the SA1 pattern for practice. The real SA1 papers are prepared by SCERT and reach schools only on the exam day.
Do the papers come with answers?
Yes. Every paper has its own answer key. Answer Key Set 1 is for Model Paper Set 1 and Answer Key Set 2 is for Model Paper Set 2.
When does SA1 start for Class 6?
SA1 starts on 9 November 2026. Class 6 writes in the afternoon, from 1:15 PM to 4:15 PM. The full timetable is given above.
Are these papers based on the new Class 6 textbooks?
Yes. All subjects follow the new Class 6 books and the SA1 portion for 2026-27.
Are Telugu medium papers available?
The Telugu and Hindi papers are in their own languages. Maths, Science and Social are in English medium for now. If enough students ask in the comments, we will add Telugu medium versions.
Can teachers print these papers for class tests?
Yes. Teachers are welcome to print them for their own students for slip tests or revision. The Word files can be edited if you want to change a question.
