Download CBSE class 10 Half Yearly / HY/ PT2/ SA1 model question papers based on the new textbooks introduced by NCERT. Class 8 has a completely new set of NCERT textbooks this year — Curiosity for Science, Ganita Prakash for Maths, Exploring Society: India and Beyond for Social Science, Poorvi for English and Malhar for Hindi. So we’ve put together fresh half-yearly model papers for all five subjects, built specifically around these new books, rather than recycling papers written for the old syllabus.
Every paper is written from scratch and follows the current CBSE pattern section by section, with a full answer key attached. We’ve kept the questions grounded in things students actually run into — how a doorbell’s electromagnet works, checking if a stack of tiles forms a perfect square, how India’s elections actually run — rather than pure textbook recall, and the difficulty is deliberately mixed: a fair share of easy questions, a good number of moderate ones, and enough tough ones to genuinely test understanding.
What you’ll find in each paper
Every subject gets two full model papers, each with its own answer key. All five are 80 marks, run for 3 hours, and follow the official CBSE blueprint for how marks and question types are laid out — MCQs, assertion-reason questions, case-based questions, the same structure students will see in the real exam.

A few questions people usually ask
Are these based on the new textbooks, or older editions?
The new ones. Every question is written for this year’s Curiosity, Ganita Prakash, Exploring Society, Poorvi and Malhar — not the books they replaced.
Is the half-yearly portion official?
Mostly it’s our own reasonable read on it, since these are brand-new books and CBSE hasn’t published a formal half-yearly split for most of them yet. Hindi is the exception — that chapter split (1 to 5 of Malhar) is actually documented, so it’s on firmer ground than the rest.
Do they come with an answer key?
Yes, every single paper, with the marking points shown rather than just the final answers, so you can see where marks would actually be gained or lost.
More papers will be added here as the exams get closer, so it’s worth checking back on this page.
