Karnataka SSLC examination 2021- Reduction in Syllabus
The Karnataka Education Department has announced for a 30% reduction in syllabus, as the academic year has been shortened due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The available school days has been reduced to about 100, further cuts are expected. The department is yet to publish the trimmed down syllabus and we will bring out the updated syllabus as soon as it is available for publication.
New Scheme and Pattern for SSLC examination 2021
KSEEB has decided to make the question papers a lot easier in this academic year, because most of the school working days were lost due to lockdown and long closure of schools. The online learning platforms adopted by many schools had failed to achieve its aim because of the lack of infrastructure and the limited learning support.
Considering all these, the authorities has decided to increase the number of objective questions in this years question papers. Previously, there was 20 such questions available for students to answer. This year, the number of MCQ questions has been increased to 30. This will help the students to achieve a higher score. The total score of the examination will remain the same, and there will be a reduction in the number of 2, 3- and 5-Mark descriptive questions. The rest of the question paper model will remain the same.
Further, we expect there will be a significant reduction in the number of difficult questions in the questions. Most of the questions will be in the easy-average category.
