IBPS Clerk Prelims 02.12.2017 English Language Analysis

IBPS conducted its first session of IBPS clerk preliminary exam on 2nd December 2017. Some new types of questions were introduced in the examination, especially in the English section of the IBPS Clerk Prelims 02.12.2017 question paper

Single filler of type questions used for the first time in IBPS Clerk Examination. This section was found to be  difficult for almost all the exam candidates. Questions for error detection also came in new pattern.

Overall analysis the examination is of moderate difficulty

The number of good attempts for each of the sections are as follows

Analysis of English Language Section IBPS Clerk Prelims 02.12.2017

The English language section of the question paper had most of the changes this year. In the reading comprehension questions vocabulary related questions were not present. The error detection questions were in a new pattern, the candidate have to find the section of the sentence that contains no error.

Reading Comprehension questions paragraphs were based on the following topics

  • Strategy of  China regarding the ecological changes
  • Effect of pollution on our health
  • Various kinds of Storms like hurricanes, cyclones and Typhoons

Due to the question model change, some candidates found the English Language section was difficult.

Analysis of Numerical Ability Section of IBPS Clerk Prelims 02.12.2017

This section was almost easy, there was an increase in the number of Arithmetic problems in some sessions.

Analysis of Reasoning Ability section of IBPS Clerk Prelims 02.12.2017

This section was of Moderate difficulty. 3 sets of puzzles were asked in most of the sessions.
