CMC Vellore is a private educational and research institute, established in 1900 and is affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University. It has been consistently ranked among the top medical colleges in India. Christian Medical College Entrance Exam (CMC) is an examination conducted by the CMC Vellore Association and CMC, Ludhiana Society for the admission to Christian Medical College (CMC) Vellore and Ludhiana respectively. The CMC Entrance Examination serves as a qualifying examination for admission to undergraduate medical courses such as MBBS, BDS and B.Sc. Nursing in CMC Vellore.

Till the year 2016, CMC Vellore organized a series of entrance tests for admissions to different courses. But from the year 2016, the admission to MBBS course is being done on the basis of NEET Score followed by an aptitude test set by CMC.

Eligibility:

The student appearing for the CMC Entrance exam needs to score a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in their Higher Secondary Examination. The candidates seeking admission must also have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31 of the academic year.

CMC Exam details and Pattern of Question Paper:

There are 2 levels for the entrance examination:

1st level examination:

  • The Computer Based Test consisting of Multiple Choice Questions conducted in English Medium.
  • The Question Paper Booklet of CMC Vellore will consist of 60 questions each in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subject

The students clearing Level 1 will be appearing forCMC Vellore MBBS Entrance Level II

CMC Vellore MBBS Level 2

This exam will consist of 120 questions on General Ability which will assess candidates Speed, Accuracy and Knowledge on Current Events.

  • This General Ability exam will consist of two sections where;

Section 1 will have 60 questions which has to be answered in 50 minutes

Section 2 will have 60 questions which has to be answered in 20 minutes

  • There will not be any system of Negative Marking in this examination.
