Cambridge Nehru Scholarships

 

 

 

Number: Ten scholarships annually (eight Cambridge Scholarships and two Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund Cambridge Scholarships)

Duration: 3 years

Eligibility: Applicants who have a First Class Honours Degree or its equivalent and who intend to pursue a course of research at Cambridge leading to the degree of PhD, are eligible

Value: University Composition Fee at the home rate, approved College Fees, maintenance allowance sufficient for a single student and a contribution towards a return airfare by the cheapest available route.

Age limit: 26 years as on I st October.

Note: Candidate appearing for their first degree examination are not eligible for the scholarships. Those who have in addition a First Class Master's Degree or its equivalent may be given preference. Applicants must be successful in winning an ORS award which pays the difference between the home and overseas rate of the University which pays the difference between the home and overseas rate of the University Composition Fee. ORS application forms are sent to eligible candidates in due course. The Nehru Trust for Cambridge University and the Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Trust, in collaboration with the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust, offers the scholarships to Indian Students
