General Requirements

Indian nationals residing in India. Age:- The applications will normally be accepted from those candidates who have obtained first Graduation/the Master's degree within the last five years as on September of the in-take year.

Value of Scholarships

Scholarships covers most direct economy class air passage (both ways), approved tuition and other compulsory university frees (excluding board and residence), personal maintenance allowance, approved medical and hospital expenses, Book allowance.

Subject

Political Science/International Relations with particular emphasis on Canada-India relations,  Geography, Social Administration, Economic Planning, Management Studies and Computer Science.

Qualification & Experience

The candidates must have completed tertiary education in English medium.

The candidate must have completed Masters Degree in the relevant subject field securing 55% or above marks in Humanities and Social Science group and 60% or above marks in Engineering and Technology group, with two years teaching/research or practical experience after obtaining Post-graduate degree relating to the opted field of study

Additional Requirements (common for United kingdom, Canada and New Zealand)

Knowledge of India and of the donor country; 2 years consecutive stay in India after return from abroad for study/training/specialisation. Candidates qualifying from universities which do not award class/division, requirements in lieu of First Class i 60% marks (conversion formula may be given where grades are awarded). For candidates who are doing Ph.D./M.Phil after completion of Master's Degree, actual period of research is taken into consideration as experience.

Application Procedure

Application (in prescribed format) with attested copies of testimonials, programme of study, photograph and other documents should be submitted on plain paper in English. Employed persons should send their applications through their employer. Name of the scholarship scheme and the country viz. UK, Canada or New Zealand must be indicated in the application form.
