Areas: Solar Physics and Solar-terrestrial relationships. Solar system studies and Stellar Physics which includes star formation, stellar evolution, stellar atmospheres, novae, super-novae, binary stars and star clusters; the Interstellar Medium; Galaxies, their structure and dynamics; High Energy Astrophysics which includes physics of neutron star, black holes, quasars and cosmology; Atomic molecular physics. Laser Physics, Laser spectroscopy. Nuclear physics and/or Particle Physics.

Duration: Extendable one year

Value: Rs. 4000/-P.M,plus H.R.A. of Rs. 800/- P.M. and medical scheme.

Qualifications: Applicants should Indian nationals having consistently good academic record and a Ph.D. in Astronomy/Astrophysics/Physics/Mathematics/Nuclear Physics/instrumentation. The institute offers excellent research opportunities.
