Field of Study: Radiological Physics

Duration: One-year Level: Post-M.Sc. Diploma

Eligibility: Second Class Master's degree in Physics.

Note :Candidates who are sponsored by reputed Hospitals having radiotherapy facilities will be given preference but they will not be eligible for stipend. On selection, candidate should undertake a bond regarding repayment of the stipend on the discontinuation of the course.

Age limit: Not above 35 years. Upper age limit can be relaxed in the case of sponsored candidates.

Selection: About two hundred candidates, based on the percentage of marks in their M.Sc. degree are short listed. They will be called for interview at Mumbai to select fifteen person for the course. Five persons will be waitlisted. Selected candidates will be admitted to the course subject to their being found medically fit after they undergo a medical examination at our hospital in Mumbai, two days before the start of the course.

Appointment: The diploma qualifies the candidates to be employed as a Medical Physicists/Radiological Safety Officers in medical and industrial institutions handling radioisotopes and ionizing radiations.

Value: During the period of training the candidates will receive a stipend plus other allowances.
