Validity of Sikkim Manipal University SMU B.Com Degree

I am study B.Com from sikkim manipal university as distance mode through smu learning centre.My question is smu degree is approved or valid for govt.job.My second question is sikim manipal university is recognised/approved by UGC,DEC,MHRD GOVT. OF INDIA.plz plz plz inform me as early as possible

Hi muneeshwar,

Undoubtedly, SMU is approved by Ministry of HRD and UGC. It also has membership of AIU (Association of Indian Universities). However, I came to know from DEC's website that his DEC-recognization has expired on 03 October 2012. For detail information about these approvals, you may visit their respective websites.

You must check for it's current approval status from Distance Education Council website or anywhere faithful links to know about it's current status for specific course. It may approved for General course but you need to ask the concerned authorities for approval in the subject in which you are going to be enrolled.
Generally a regular course is more preferred to any correspondence one.
