UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE

ISAAC Newton Studentship

Subject: Astronomy (especially Gravitational Astronomy, but also including other branches of Astronomy and Astronomical Physics) and related branches of Physical Optics.

Number: 1

Level: Research level Duration: Two years.

Eligibility: Open to graduates of any university who are research students or students of exceptional talent who are about to start research.

Age: 26 years as on 1 October of the year of award.

Value: £4,790 per annum. Married students will receive an allowance under EPSRC conditions. The Electors may in addition award gi'ants for fees, books, or other expenses incurred in the course of study or research.

Last date: 11 February of the year of award.

Note: In the case of students of exceptional talent, the Electors are empowered to renew the studentship for a third year subject to satisfactory progress. The successful candidate must register as a member of the University.
