Eligibility :Indian nationals who graduate from universities for doing research under this programme in a university or Institute in Japan

Note: The choice of the subjects is left to the discretion of the Indian Government. Applications are received, screened and processed by the Department of Education, Government of India. In exceptional cases, there is a possibility of getting this scholarship directly from Japan at Doctoral or Post Doctoral level if a professor from a university in Japan, recommends it. The applicant's direct contact with the professor is necessary.
