Level: Research level

Duration:Varying with each award, normally two to five or up to ten years.

Eligibility: A high academic standard, but qualifications vary with subject and level of the fellowships.

Value: Salaries at the University lecturers' scale for non-clinical academic and staff, with an allowance for personal research expenses; Senior Research Fellows may be offered substantial support.

Notification: November-January

Late date: Normally mid-february.
