Ph.D. Programme
Fields of Study: Theoretical
Physics: Gravitational waves. Black holes. Quantum gravity. Optics,
Condensed Metaphysics, oqiod crystals. Phase transitions, Mechanics,
X-ray and light scattering, Monolayers, Synthesis, LCDs Astrophysics
and Observational Astronomy Interstellar and intergalactic matter.
Pulsars physical cosmology.
Eligibility:
First Class M.Sc. degree in Physics or BE/BTech in Engineering with
a good Physics background. For LC synthesis M.Sc chemistry and for
LCDs BE/Btech with specialisation in Electronics.
Note:
Those
completing their degree by August may also apply. Selected students
will undergo intensive course work one year before registering for
a Ph.D. degree.
Value:
Those selected are provided accommodation and receive stipends at
par with UGC/CSIR scholarships.
