SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH SCHOLARSHIP

Field of Study: Science

The Scheme:The Trustees of the Lady Tata Memorial Trust offers scholarship for scientific investigations having a bearing directly or indirectly on the alleviation of human suffering from diseases.
Scholars are required to work whole time under the direction of a scientist of standing in a recognised institution.

I. One Post-Doctoral Fellowship: to a Ph.D. in Science or to a M.DYM.S. Degree holder with two years research experience.

Value: Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 2,200 per month.

Contigency Grant: Rs. 5,000 per annum.

Age limit as on 31st March: 35.

II. Senior Scholarship

(a) to postgraduates with M.D./M.S. Degree or to graduates in Medium (M.B.B.S.) with completed intemship.

Value: Rs. 1,400 to Rs. 1,650 per month.

Contigency Grant: Rs. 4,000 per annum.

Age limit: 30

(b) To M.Sc. with two years research experience.

Value: Rs. 1,250 per month.

Contignecy Grant: Rs. 4,000 per annum.

Age: 30.

III. Junior Scholarships

(a) to fresh M.Sc. or to B.Sc. with distinction and two years research experience.

Value: Rs. 1,000 per month,

contingency Grant: Rs. 3,000 per annum.

Age: 27.

The quantum of Awards in respect of I and II (a) mentioned above depends on qualifications, research experience and publications.

Note: Applications for joint investigations are not accepted. Any one Guide in a Department is required to recommend the application of only one candidates in any given area.
