KOREAN (SOUTH) GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP

Two Scholarships are offered to Indian Nationals residing in India for Post-graduate studies leading to Doctoral/ Ph.D. Degree the above fields of study.

Fields of Study: Korean Studies,Humanities, Social Science, Natural Sciences, Engineering and other Subjects.

Educational Qualifications: Uniformly good academic record with 60% or above marks in Master's Degree in the field applied for (Conversion Universities/ Institutions).

Experience: At least two years teaching/ research/ practical experience in the subject field selected after passing the prescribed qualifications as on March 1.

Duration: 3-4 years.

Value: (i) Monthly maintenance allowance of 450,000 Won per month;
(ii) Tuition fees exempted and the insurance is paid to cover any accidents during the period of scholarship.

Passage Cost: Economy class air passage from India to Seoul (South Korea) and back to India is provided by the Govt. of the Republic of Korea.

Other Conditions: The candidate should
(i) be proficient in the Korean language,
(ii) not to be accompanied by his/ her spouse and/ or his children,
(iii) be the one whose spouse is not living in Korea,
(iv) be the one who has never been granted the Korea MOE scholarship before.

Notification including format of application form is generally published in the Employment News and some other prominent national dailies.
