KEAM Engineering Entrance- Syllabus, Pattern and Question Papers

The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Government of Kerala (CEE-Kerala) conducts Kerala Engineering and Medical Entrance Examination(KEAM ) for selecting candidates to the professional undergraduate programmes in

• ENGINEERING,
• ARCHITECTURE
• MBBS
• BDS
• AYURVEDA
• HOMOEO
• SIDDHA
• AGRICULTURE
• FORESTRY
• VETERINARY and
• FISHERIES

NOTE: Admission to Medical courses, Agriculture, Forestry, Veterinary and Fisheries courses are regulated on the basis of merit as assessed in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG 2018) conducted by the CBSE. 

The Professional Degree Courses include

• The B.Tech. Degree courses affiliated to various Universities in Kerala
• The B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering) and the B.Tech. (Food Engineering) courses under the Kerala Agricultural University [KAU].
• The B.Tech. (Dairy Science & Technology) course under the Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University [KVASU]
• B.Arch. Degree course affiliated to various Universities in Kerala
• MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS & BHMS under the Kerala University of Health Sciences.
• Agriculture and Forestry Courses [BSc.(Hons.) Agri.], [BSc.(Hons.) Forestry] Under Kerala Agricultural University
• Veterinary Course (BVSc. & AH) Under Kerala Veterinary & Animal Sciences University
• Fisheries Course (BFSc.) Under Kerala University of Fisheries & Ocean Studies

 Eligibility for KEAM

Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary examination or equivalent with 50% marks in Biology/Biotechnology separately, and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology put together, are eligible to apply for MEDICAL programmes.

Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary examination or equivalent with 50% marks in Mathematics separately, and 50 % marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together are eligible for admission for Engineering programmes

 Syllabus for KEAM

According to the selection of programmes, candidates need to write 2 papers in the KEAM 2018 Entrance. For Engineering candidates Paper 1 will be Physics and Chemistry and Paper 2 will be Mathematics.

For Medical Entrance Examination Paper 1 will be Physics and Chemistry and Paper 2 will be Biology.

KEAM  Examination Pattern`

Each paper (Paper 1 and Paper 2) will be having 90 minutes duration and will contain 120 objective type MCQ questions. Each correct answer will get 4 marks, thereby the total marks will be 480. For each incorrect answer ONE mark will be deducted from the total score.
