Syllabus, Pattern and question papers for NICL AO/SO Re exam Dec 2013

National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) decided to cancel the examination conducted in the month of September 2013 for the selection of Administrative Officer (AO) in Generalist and Specialist Cadres,due to some discrepancies found in examination in some centers.

NICL AO Re examination dates:
A fresh examination for the NICL AO and SO posts will be conducted on 15th and 22nd  of December 2013. all the candidates except the candidates who were debarred during the examination held on 08/09/2013 are requested to appear for the re examination (for both Generalist & Specialist disciplines) on the specified dates.

NICL AO-SO Revised Examination Admit Cards:

NICL AO SO Revised exam Admit cards are expected to be available at NICL Website on the first week of December 2013. You will be required to give your Register number and Date of Birth, then you will be presented with the admit card containing your exam date, center of examination and roll number. You can download and take a printout of the same for examination.

NICL AO Syllabus for Generalist officers:
Questions are asked from the following areas:
Reasoning,
English Language,
General Awareness,
Numerical Ability and computer Literacy
A total of 100 MCQ asked from the above sections with 25 questions from each category in objective section and  descriptive paper for 50 marks
NICL AO Syllabus for Specialist officers:
Questions are asked from the following areas:
Reasoning,
English Language,
General Awareness,
Numerical Ability and computer Literacy
Technical and Professional knowledge.
A total of 100 MCQ asked from the above sections with 25 questions from each category in objective section and  descriptive paper for 50 marks

Pattern of Question Paper for NICL AO Officers
Each objective question carries one mark, so the objective paper carries 100 marks. In addition to this,  a descriptive paper of English is also there for 50 marks to evaluate English Language Ability of Candidates with Essay writing, precis writing and comprehension questions

  • A negative marking scheme with ¼ marks deduction for each wrong answer is applicable
  • The duration of the examination is 180 minutes for both Objective and Descriptive paper.
