IISER IPhd admissions 2015

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Thiruvanathapuram, invites application s for admission to Integrated Ph.D. Programme to the Schools of Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics during August 2015 session.

Eligibility

Biology:

Bachelors degree in Biological/ Chemical/Physical/Mathematical sciences with a minimum of 55% marks (or a CGPA of 6.0 in the 10 point scale).

All shortlisted candidates are required to appear for a written aptitude test followed by interview

Chemistry:

Bachelors degree in Chemical sciences with a minimum of 55% marks (or a CGPA of 6.0 in the 10 point scale).

Shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test followed by interview

Mathematics:

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics/Statistics/ Engineering/ Technology in a relevant discipline with minimum CGPA of 6.0 (or 55 % marks).

NBHM-M.Sc. Fellowship valid as on 1 August 2015 with CGPA of 6.0 (or 55 % marks).

Physics:

Bachelors degree in Physical Sciences, Engineering or Technology with minimum 55 % marks (or a CGPA of 6.0 in the 10 point scale).

Applicants should have cleared the Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST)-2015.

Short-listed applicants will be invited for a written test/interview at IISER-TVM.

S.N.Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences Post MSc.-PhD/ Integrated Phd admissions 2014

S.N.Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences invites application from motivated students for its residential Ph.D. Programmes.

Post-M.Sc.-Ph.D.

1.            Basic qualification: M.Sc. with First Class/Division i.e., minimum 60% in aggregate (55% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) in Physics, Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, Biophysics or Biochemistry.

2.            Fellowship: In line with the current rules, Rs. 16,000 per month for the first two years as a JRF. Thereafter, upon meeting the eligibility criteria of the Centre and a Comprehensive Examination, the students will be inducted as SRF with a monthly stipend of Rs. 18000.

Post-B.Sc. Integrated PhD Programme in Physical Sciences (IPhD-PH) 2014

1.            Basic qualification: First Class/Division i.e., minimum 60% in aggregate (55% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) in B.Sc. with Physics and Mathematics.

2.            Monthly Stipend: Rs. 12,000 during the first two years. The successful completion of the Course Work will lead to an M.Sc. Degree by the University of Calcutta, and thereafter, upon meeting the eligibility criteria, the students will be inducted as JRF. Stipend at par with Centre’s JRF if admitted to the JRF programme.

Age Limit: None. However, the last qualifying University examination (B.Sc./M.Sc.) should have been taken not earlier than 2012.

IIA Integrated Phd admissions 2012- 13

IIA/ IGNOU integrated M.Sc-Ph.D in Physics/ Astrophysics admissions 2012- 13

Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) invites applications for admissions to integrated M.Sc-Ph.D (IPhd) Programme in Physics and Astrophysics in collaboration with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi. The normal duration of the IPhD programme will be 6 years, including the minimum 2 years for the Masters’ Degree.

Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree in Science/Engineering.

Grants

10,000/- pm, an annual book grant, accommodation, and medical facilities during the M.Sc course. Upon successful completion of two years in the programme the candidates will be awarded a Masters’ Degree. The candidates with a minimum Grade Point would continue to work for their Ph.D. advancing the topic of their M.Sc. dissertation with the same guide or if necessary embark upon a new subject with another guide. They will be paid fellowship of Rs. 16,000/- pm beginning the third year, and Rs. 18,000/- pm beginning the fifth year of the programme.

Bose Post MSc.PhD/ IPhD-Ph admissions 2012

S N Bose Post-MSc.- PhD/ Integrated PhD admissions 2012

S N Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences invites application for its residential PhD Programmes. Those who have qualified in the BOSE TEST 2012 held on March 4, 2012 need not apply again.

A.        Post-M.Sc.- Ph.D. Programme 2012

Basic qualification: M.Sc with First Class/Division in Physics, Chemistry or Biological Sciences (and/or its interdisciplinary branches) with Mathematics as one of the subjects at the B.Sc level.

Eligibility for Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview during 11-15 June 2012, based on their JEST 2012 score and/or CSIR-UGC-NET (JRF/LS).

Fellowship: Rs 16,000 per month for the first two years as a JRF, as per rules. Thereafter, upon meeting the eligibility criteria of the Centre and a Comprehensive Examination, the students will be inducted as SRF with a monthly stipend of Rs. 18000/-. As the Center provides free hostel accommodation, students will not receive HRA.

Integrated Ph.D. Programme in Physical Sciences (IPhD-Ph) 2012

Basic qualification: First Class/Division in B.Sc with Physics and Mathematics.

Eligibility for Interview: Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their JEST 2012 and/or NGPE 2012 rank.

Monthly Stipend: Rs 12,000 for admitted students during the first two years. The successful completion of the Course Work will lead to an M.Sc Degree by the University of Calcutta, and thereafter, upon meeting the eligibility criteria, the students will be inducted as JRF. After joining as JRF, the students will be paid at par with JRF in the post-M.Sc programme.
