IIST BTech/ Integrated BTech admissions 2015

IIST BTech/ Dual Degree MTech/ M.S. in Aerospace Engineering/ Avionics admissions 2015

IIST (Indian Institute Of Space Science And Technology), Trivandrum, announces admission to the following programmes for the academic year 2015-16, to eligible Indian citizens:

4-Year B.Tech Programme in Aerospace Engineering

4-Year B.Tech Programme in Avionics

5-Year Dual Degree (B.Tech and M.S./M.Tech.) Programme

Note: The 5-year Dual Degree programme leads to B.Tech degree in Engineering Physics and any of the following Post-Graduate degree specializations: (i) M.S. in Solid State Physics (ii) M.S. in Astronomy & Astrophysics (iii) M.S. in Earth System Science and (iv) M.Tech. in Optical Engineering. (There is no exit option at the end of four years).

Candidates who are desirous to join the above mentioned academic programmes in IIST must appear for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main)-2015 conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced)-2015 conducted by NTs. They must also secure the minimum prescribed category-wise marks in JEE(Advanced)-2015 as given below:-

(a)General (GEN) Candidates: At least 20% marks in aggregate and at least 5% marks in each of the three subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics).

(b)Other Backward Community-Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) Candidates; At least 18% marks in aggregate and at Ieast4.5% marks in each of the three subjects (Physics. Chemistry and Mathematics).

(c)Schoduled Caste(SC). Scheduled Tribe(ST) & Persons with Disabilitios(PD) Candidates: At least 10% marks in aggregate and at least 2.5% marks in each of the three subjects (Physics. Chemistry and Mathematics).

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology BTech in Aerospace Engineering/ Avionics/ Physical sciences admissions 2014

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram, invites applications for BTech admissions for 2014 session.

Branches

(i) Aerospace Engineering

(ii) Avionics and

(iii) Physical sciences

Eligibility:

Indian citizens with pass in any of the following qualifying exams:

10+2/ Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination/    Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy/  Vocational Higher Secondary Examination/ Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling/ Any Public School/Board/University examination in India or in any foreign country recognized/ General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London / Cambridge /Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level/ High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.

 In case the relevant qualifying examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination at an earlier level.

Age: Candidates belonging to General category (GEN) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories must have been born on or after October 1, 1989. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PD) categories must have born on or after October 1, 1984.

Selection will be based on Joint Entrance Examination (Main)-2014 conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi and Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced)-2014 conducted by IITs and secure the minimum prescribed category-wise marks in JEE (Advanced)-2014 as given below:-

IIST BTech admissions 2013

IIST Trivandrum BTech in  Aerospace Engineering/ Avionics/ Physical Science admissions 2013

Indian Institute of Space Science Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram, invites applications for admissions to BTech for 2013 session with specialisations in Aerospace Engineering, Avionics and Physical Science.

Eligibility for IIST BTech 2013

• Only Indian citizenscan apply for admission to IIST

• The date of birth of the candidates belonging to GEN and OBC (NCL1 categories should be on or after October 1, 1988, while the date of birth of those belonging to SC( ST and PD categories should be on or after October 1,1983.

• After qualifying the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main)-2013 conducted by CBSE. the candidate must appear for HT-JEE(Advancedl-2013 and score the following minimum prescribed category-wise marks in JEE(Advanced)-2013:

[a] General Candidates: At least 5% marks in each of the three subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) and 20% marks in aggregate.

[b] OBC (NCL) Candidates: At least 90% of the marks prescribed for General Candidates asgiven in (a).

[c] SC. ST & PD Candidates: At least 50% of the marks prescribed for General Candidates asgiven in (a).

The marks secured by the candidate in JEElAdvanced)-2013 examination will be used only for deciding his/her eligibility for admission.

Rank List For Admission

Admission to Undergraduate Programmes (B.Tech) for the year 2013 will be based on the All India Rank List (including category rank list) prepared and published for the year 2013 by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). This rank list is based on 60% weightage of score in the Joint Entrance Examination JEElMainl-2013. and 40% of normalized score in Class 12th or other qualifying examinations.

Online registration of application for admission to IIST will commence from 17th May 2013 at www.iist.ac.in

IIST BTech admissions 2013-14

Indian Institute Of Space Science And Technology BTech admissions 2013-14

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), announces admission to its 4-year B.Tech Degree Programmes in Aerospace Engineering, Avionics and Physical Sciences for the academic year 2013-14 to eligible Indian citizens.

B.Tech.- Aerospace Engineering

Aerospace Engineering programme includes foundation level courses in Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Aerodynamics, Flight Mechanics, Solid Mechanics and Material Science, and applied courses in Propulsion systems, Aerospace structures and Precision manufacturing processes for launch vehicles, aircrafts and spacecrafts.

B.Tech.- Avionics

Avionics programme covers courses in Electronics and Electrical Engineering that includes Control system, Digital Electronics, VLSI, MEMS design, Communication and Computer systems with thrust on aerospace vehicle and satellite systems, flight navigation systems, satellite communication, microwaveand antenna engineering.

B.Tech.- Physical sciences

Physical Sciences programme has been designed to cater to the science requirements of the country in general and space research in particular The curriculum include foundation and advanced level courses on Applied Mathematics, Classical and Modern Physics as well as courses in the areas of space sciences such as Astronomy & Astrophysics, Remote Sensing and Earth System Sciences.

Admission to Undergraduate Programmes (B.Tech) for the year 2013 will be based on the All India Rank List (including category rank list). The Rank List for admission to IIST will be based on 60% weightage of score in the Joint Entrance Examination JEE (Main)-2013 conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and 40% of normalised score in Class 12th or other qualifying examinations.
