IIST BTech/ Dual Degree MTech/ M.S. in Aerospace Engineering/ Avionics admissions 2015
IIST (Indian Institute Of Space Science And Technology), Trivandrum, announces admission to the following programmes for the academic year 2015-16, to eligible Indian citizens:
4-Year B.Tech Programme in Aerospace Engineering
4-Year B.Tech Programme in Avionics
5-Year Dual Degree (B.Tech and M.S./M.Tech.) Programme
Note: The 5-year Dual Degree programme leads to B.Tech degree in Engineering Physics and any of the following Post-Graduate degree specializations: (i) M.S. in Solid State Physics (ii) M.S. in Astronomy & Astrophysics (iii) M.S. in Earth System Science and (iv) M.Tech. in Optical Engineering. (There is no exit option at the end of four years).
Candidates who are desirous to join the above mentioned academic programmes in IIST must appear for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main)-2015 conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced)-2015 conducted by NTs. They must also secure the minimum prescribed category-wise marks in JEE(Advanced)-2015 as given below:-
(a)General (GEN) Candidates: At least 20% marks in aggregate and at least 5% marks in each of the three subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics).
(b)Other Backward Community-Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) Candidates; At least 18% marks in aggregate and at Ieast4.5% marks in each of the three subjects (Physics. Chemistry and Mathematics).
(c)Schoduled Caste(SC). Scheduled Tribe(ST) & Persons with Disabilitios(PD) Candidates: At least 10% marks in aggregate and at least 2.5% marks in each of the three subjects (Physics. Chemistry and Mathematics).
