NIMHANS B.Sc Programme Admissions  2012-13 in Nursing, Radiogrphy and Anaesthesia Technology

National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences- NIMHANS Bangalore invites ONLINE Applications on prescribed form for Admission to the following courses for the Academic Year 2012-2013.

1          B.Sc. in Nursing

2.         B.Sc. in Radiography

3.         B.Sc. in Anaesthesia Technology

4.         Diploma in Clinical Neurophysiology Technology

A) ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS FOR ADMISSION:

1          B.Sc. in Nursing: 4 years duration.

Minimum Qualification for Admission:

(i)         Pre-University examination conducted by the department of Pre-University OR

(ii)         Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (12 years course) OR

(iii)        Senior School Certificate Examination, Pre-degree Examination (10+2) OR

(iv)        An Equivalent with 12 years of Schooling from a recognized Board or University

(With Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English with a minimum of 45%* aggregate)

 

2.         B.Sc. in Radiography: 3 years duration.

Minimum Qualification for Admission:

(i)             Pre-University examination conducted by the department of Pre-University OR

(ii)            An Equivalent examination recognized by the NIMHANS, Bangalore

(iii)           Job Oriented Diploma coursc from a recognized Board with Diagnostic Radiography as vocational subject or Equivalent

(iv)          (With Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & English with a minimum of 45%* aggregate)

 

3.         B.Sc. in Anaesthesia Technology: 3 years duration.

Minimum Qualification for Admission:

Pass in Two year Pre University Examination or equivalent with a Science group having secured an aggregate of 45%* in Science subjects

*40% in case of SC/ST Candidates.

Selection of Candidates for the above mentioned courses will be based on the marks obtained by the Candidate in the Qualifying Examination only. Please note there will not be any Entrance Test.

4. Diploma in Clinical Neurophysiology Technology (DCNT): The duration of the course will be for a period of two years.

Minimal Qualification: B.Sc. with Physics/Electronics/Computer Science with minimum Second Class in the qualifying examination or Diploma in Electronics/ Electrical/ Instrumentation/ Computer (Approved by Board of Technical Education) or 3 years experience as EEG Technician after PUC. Selection to this course will be based on the
performance of the Candidate in the Interview.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1.   Application form for all the courses are available online at our forums The applications have to be filled online and submitted online. Printout of the Application Abstract with the latest passport size photograph affixed (in the column provided) along with the Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Director, NIMHANS, Bangalore-560 029 and relevant enclosures should be sent to The Registrar, NIMHANS, Hosur Road, Bangalore-560 029 by super scribing the name of the course(s) applied for on the Envelope without fail.

2.   The application fee is Rs.1000/- per course for General candidates & Rs.750/- per course for SC/ST candidates.

3.   Foreign Nationals arc required to submit their applications through the Diplomatic Channel (through the Ministry of External Affairs). Sponsored candidates should submit their application through proper channel.
The candidates should produce the sponsorship certificate in the prescribed format.

4.   AGE LIMIT: The age of candidates for all B.Sc. courses should be between minimum of 17 years and maximum of 25 years as on 01.08.2012.

5.   Application is available online from                                     :20^lhMay2012

6.   Application is available online for final submission upto       : 20″ June 2012

7.   Last date for receipt of Application abstract by post/’courier  : 25^th June 2012

8.   List of selected candidates will be notified by             : 15^th July 2012

9.   Commencement of the Courses :  1st August2012

10.  Last date for admission of candidates                                : 8 August 2012

Incomplete applications, applications not submitted online, without enclosures i.e., Qualifying Exam Marks sheets, Caste Certificate in case of SC/ST/OBC Category & experience certificate (if applicable) and Applications without Demand Draft or insufficient Demand Draft will be rejected. The Demand Draft or application of the rejected candidates will not be returned at any cost. No communication will be given against the rejected applications. Demand Draft or enclosures sent subsequently will not be considered. Application abstract will strictly not be received after 25^lh June 2012. No interim enquiry or correspondence will be entertained. List of selected candidates will be notified on the Institute’s Notice Board and Website. The candidate must visit the website from time to time for all necessary details and updates on the above.
