UGC NET Changes in Exam structure From November 2017- Complete Guide

CBSE announced for the next UGC- NET will be held on November 5th 2017. UGC NET Examination is conducted for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor Both in Indian universities and colleges. CBSE mwill conduct NET in 84 subjects  at 91 selected Cities of Examination spread across the country.

Changes in Examination Scheme/ Structure of UGC NET 2017

The Test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will consist of only objective type questions and will be held on 05th November, 2017 (SUNDAY) in three separate sessions as under:

  • Paper-I shall be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate. The paper shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions and each question will carry 2 marks.
  • Paper-II shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions based on the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks.
  • Paper-III will consist of 75 objective type compulsory questions from the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks. All the questions of Paper – II and Paper – III will be compulsory, covering entire syllabus (including all electives, without options). The candidate will have to mark the responses for questions of Paper – I, Paper – II and Paper – III on the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) Sheet provided along with the test booklet

Changes in Qualification Criteria and Selection norms of UGC NET 2017

This will comprise of following steps:

  • Step I: The candidates are required to obtain minimum marks in aggregate of all three papers i.e. Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper –III for considering a candidate for the award of JRF and eligibility for Assistant Professor as given below:

  • Step II: Amongst those candidates who have appeared in all three papers and cleared step I, a merit list will be prepared subject-wise and category-wise using the aggregate marks of all the three papers secured by such candidates.
  • Step III: The number of slots for eligibility for Assistant Professor only will be equal to the 6% of the candidates appeared in all three papers of NET. The subject-wise and category-wise distribution of slots will be calculated by using the similar formula as used for calculation slots of JRF as mentioned on the next page.
  • Step IV: A separate merit list for the award of JRF will be prepared from amongst the NET qualified candidates figuring in the merit list prepared under step III by using the formula mentioned

Similar formula will be used for OBC/SC/ST category and all the subjects. It may be noted that the above qualifying criteria decided by UGC/CBSE is final and binding

FMGE December 2015 notification

Foreign Medical Graduate Exam December 2015

As per the Screening Test Regulations 2002, an Indian citizen possessing a primary medical qualification awarded by any medical institution outside India who is desirous of getting provisional or permanent registration with the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council on or after shall have to qualify the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE)-Screening Test.

National Board of Examinations shall conduct Foreign Medical Graduate Examination on 9th December & 10th December 2015 at various test centres across the country.

The test shall be conducted as a Computer Based Test comprising of 300 Multiple Choice Questions of single correct response type without any negative marking as per the existing scheme of FMGE.

Online application form for FMGE December 2015 can be submitted only online till 22nd October 2015.

DNB CET SS 2016 notification

Diplomate National Board Centralized Entrance Test for Admission to DNB Super Specialties Courses 2016

DNB CET SS is a mandatory eligibility cum ranking examination for entry to various post DNB/ MD/ MS Super Specialty courses in modern medicine.

NBE shall be conducting DNB CET SS as a Computer Based Test (CBT) on 27th November 2015 at test centers across the country for admission to following Super Specialties:

MEDICAL: Cardiology, Endocrinology. Gastroenterology. Haematology, Medical Oncology. Neurology, Nephrology. Rheumatology, Medical Genetics, Cardiac Anaesthesia, and Paediatric Cardiology.

SURGICAL: Cardio Thoracic Surgery, Genito Urinary Surgery. Neurosurgery.

Paediatric Surgery. Plastic Surgery, Peripheral Vascular Surgery, Surgical Gastroenterology. Surgical Oncology and Thoracic surgery.

Eligibility Criteria for DNB CET SS-2016 Admission Session:

Candidates who are in possession of DNB/Post Graduate Medical degrees/ provisional pass certificate from Indian Universities or equivalent registerable as additional PG qualifications as per the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 by 31.12.2015 and have completed his/her 3 years of DNB/MD/MS training by 31.12.2015 may apply for DNB CET SS through online application system

Diplomate National Board (Post Diploma) Centralized Entrance Test 2016 for Post Diploma DNB courses

DNB PD-CET is a mandatory eligibility cum ranking examination for entry to various Post Diploma (Secondary) DNB courses. NBE shall be conducting DNB PD CET as a Computer Based Test (CBT) on 27th November 2015 at Test centers across the country.

Post Diploma DNB courses are offered in the following specialties.

Anaesthesiology, Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy, Nuclear Medicine, Obstetrics And Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Radio-Diagnosis, Radiotherapy, Tuberculosis & Respiratory Diseases / Pulmonary Medicine, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Pathology, Immuno Haematology & Blood Transfusion and Emergency Medicine.

Eligibility Criteria for DNB PD CET- January 2016 Admission session:

Candidates who have passed the final examination leading to the award of Post Graduate Diploma from Indian Universities which are duly recognized as per provisions of Indian Medical Council Act 1956, govt, of India i.e. have passed / passing the final examinations for post graduate diploma on or before 31st December 2015. Duration of training of Post Diploma course should be 2 years.

Application form for PDCET January 2016 admission session can be submitted only online  from 16th September 2015 to 22nd October 2015 till 23:59 Hrs.

DNB CET Jan 2016 for DNB PG admissions

Diplomate National Board – Centralized Entrance Test National Board of Examinations For admission to DNB Post Graduate Courses January 2016 admission session

DNB CET is a mandatory qualifying-cum-ranking examination for entry to various Post Graduate courses in modern medicine under the National Board of Examinations (NBE).

NBE shall be conducting DNB CET as a Computer Based Test (CBT) from 28th November to 1st December 2015 at test centers across the country.

Eligibility Criteria for DNB CET January 2016:

Candidates who are in possession of MBBS degree/Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate from an Institute recognized as per the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act and possess permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the Medical Council of India / State Medical Council and have completed one year of compulsory internship or likely to complete on or before 31st January 2016 may apply DNB CET through online application system

AIPGMEE 2016 notification

AIPGMEE 2016 For admission to MD/MS/Post Graduate Diploma Courses Admission Session 2016

AIPGMEE 2016 is the eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to All India 50% quota of MD/MS/PG Diploma Seats-2016 Admission Session (except Jammu & Kashmir and Erstwhile Andhra Pradesh).

The following States shall utilize the results of AIPGMEE 2016 for admission to MD/MS/ PG Diploma courses at colleges in their States

HIMACHAL PRADESH

These states shall not be conducting any state entrance examination of their own.

IIM Ahamedabad FPM admissions 2016

IIMA FPM/ Phd admissions 2016

Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahamedabad, invites applications for admissions to its Fellow Programme in Management (FPM- equivalent to Phd) course for 2016 session.

Eligibility

Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications to apply for IIMA’s Doctoral Programme

a) A Masters Degree in any discipline, with at least 55 percent marks, with a Bachelors degree/ equivalent qualification with at-least 50 percent marks obtained after a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.

OR

b) Five year/four year Integrated Masters Degree programme in any discipline, with atleast 55 percent marks, obtained after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent

OR

c) A professional qualification like CA, ICWA, CS, with at least 55 percent marks. OR

d) A 4-year/8-semester Bachelors degree with at least 60 percent marks or equivalent grade point average.
