Direct Ph.D Admission to B,Tech Holders

I completed my BE in civil Engineering from University College Of Engineering Villupuram. Tamilnadu with 87% marks.

I heard IIITDm Kancheepuram is having direct admission to B.Tech holders for their Ph.D program. can I apply for this program ?

Yes, IIITDM have direct admission to Ph.D program for B.Tech holders. But this provision will not be available in your case due to the following reasons.

It is available for only Candidates who have qualified for the award of BE/B.Tech. with the following criteria

1. The candidate must be passed out from IIT / IIIT with a minimum CGPA of 8.0 on a 10 point scale and with a valid GATE score
2. If he is from any other University he should be among the top 10 rank holders in the University and having a valid GATE score or
3. he is from a reputed R & D organization with excellent research record

And moreover there is no research subject is available in Civil related areas, I think
