Candidates who are M.Pharm degree holders start out as research associates. After two years, a research associate moves up to become a research scientist. Generally, after a span of two years, he/she can then become a senior research scientist, who can rise to the position of a group leader after about four years. A group leader becomes a general manager after a span of a further four years, and those with more experience and expertise can become a director.
