The minimum qualification required to become an insurance agent is clearing the senior secondary or Class-12 examination. A person has to undergo at least 100 hours of training to be arranged by the insurance company, and has to pass a test, after which the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority grants a license to the candidate.
