(1) B.Sc Nautical Science (3-year course for navigators affiliated to University of Madras) and (2) 1-year Diploma course for Navigators (affiliated to IGNOU) at Vels Academy of Maritime Studies, Velan Nagar, P.V.Vaithiyalingam Road, Pallavaram, Chennai-600117.
Eligibility: Pass in 10+2 or equivalent with minimum 60 per cent aggregate in PCM group (but not less than 50 per cent in each subject) and at least 50 per cent in English at 10th or 12th; age group between 17-20 years. Physically fit for sea service with eyesight 6/6 and no colour blindness. Selection is based on tests, interviews and medical fitness. Download from http://www.velsmaritime.com |
