I hold a PG in Physics and have completed Diploma in Computer Science from Barratry Vidya Bhavan, as well as Advanced Diploma from Board of Technical Education, Mumbai. I have also taught computer at various institutes in Nagpur for four years. Subsequently, in Pune I did Diploma in Oracle & D2k and worked as programmer for several months. Given my education background, what are the job prospects? What are the opportunities in software industry?

With a M.Sc in Physics and sufficient computer knowledge you could try for career opportunities either in software industry or educational area. Career opportunities are plenty in defence, R&D, biophysics, chemical physics, health physics and related sciences. Dont lay your hands on too many things. Concentrate and keep your goals fixed.
