UK based Loughborough University rolls out applications for its MSc in Business Psych

The School of Business and Economics at UK’s Loughborough University is offering an MSc course in Business Psychology and is inviting applications for the same. Ranked among the top 10 UK business schools for management, accounting & finance and information management by The Times, The Independent and The Guardian, the School of Business and Economics is among just 1% of business schools in the world to hold AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA accreditation.

The one-year full time master’s programme in Business Psychology is suitable for students wishing to develop a career in personnel functions, human resource management roles or as business consultants in areas such as selection and assessment, organisational development and change and employee development. The programme has two semesters, each having different modules. Gathering and Using Evidence in Work Psychology, Leadership and Performance Management, Employee Engagement, Motivation and Voice and Work Design, Organisational Change and Development are some of the modules taught during the course.

Students of MSc in Business Psychology course are provided in-depth training so as to prepare them for psychological theories and research to influence and inform a range of important business decisions and to operate effectively at all levels within organisations. Much emphasis is laid on developing critical thinking and consultancy skills as well as the ability to work effectively with a wide range of organisational stakeholders. Students have the freedom to either extend or cement their practical skills by completing a research project that allows them to apply their knowledge to an organisational issue.

Students who wish to apply for the programme must have minimum of 60% from either a UK university or an equivalent university recognized by Loughborough University. Candidates will be required to show that their degree includes modules that provided them with an awareness of human behaviour in work settings. If this is not the case then they should have at least one year of work experience. Applications with a lower percentage may be considered if the applicant has considerable relevant work experience.
