M.Tech in IIT in VLSI Embedded Systems

I am B.E ECE 2014 fresher with 6.8/10 cgpa. I want to do M.Tech in IITs in the field of VLSI,Embedded Systems.I am currently working in small scale embedded company and side by side preparing for gate exam.My question is even after getting qualified in GATE exam will i be able to get through in selection process as i have history of arrears and low cgpa.

Its not necessary that low cgpa will cause a hindrance in your selection process. MANY of the companies do not consider CGPA as a selection or rejection criteria. You score is quite good.
