(1) Long Hours of Work-Long hours of work without adequate rest causes fatigue because workers become exhausted.
(2) Faulty Machine Design-Some machines are faulty in their design due to which the workers may have to make inconvenient and painful movement resulting in more exhaustion and tiredness to the worker operating on such machines.
(3) Inconvenient and Awkward Posture—One of the important cause of fatigue is that workers are compelled to inconvenient and awkward posture on the work bench i.e., working in a standing or bending position continuously for a long time or sitting cross legged.
(4) Personal factors—Personal factors such as ill health of worker, family life and his interest in the job etc. are also responsible for the fatigue.
(5) Uncongenial Environment—Inadequate lighting, heating, noise, speed etc. lead to the fatigue.
(6) Monotony or an unpleasant job—Monotony means lack of interest in continuing the work. If a worker is asked to do an unpleasant job or monotonous job, he will be subject to fatigue.
