According to Flippo "Job evaluation is a systematic and orderly process of determining the worth of a job in relation to other jobs".
According to Welley "Job evaluation is a systematic comparison of the value of a range of jobs so that ultimately an equitable wages or salary payment scale is produced for them."
According to Bureau of Labour Statistics U.S.A. "Job evaluation is the evaluation or rating of jobs to determine their position in the job hierarchy. The evaluation may be achieved through the assignment of points or the use of some other systematic method or essential job requirement's such as skill experience and responsibility."
