PG Diploma in Book Publishing at IGNOU consists of eight areas:

Introduction to Publishing and its Legal Aspects, Editing and Pre-Press, Production and Emerging Technologies, Marketing, Promotion and Distribution of Books, Editing Books for Children, Editing Scientific, Technical and Medical Books, Editing Text Books and lastly there is an apprenticeship/ training programme which is compulsory.
