I am studying for B.Tech Chemical Engineering final semester. I have 2 paper arrears in second semester, which I have not passed yet. I am trying my level best now and I am confident I can pass it in the coming attempt. I don’t want to waste one year so can I apply for GATE 2013 ? are they accepting students with failed subjects in previous semesters for writing GATE examination?

Yes, you can apply for GATE 2013. The GATE prospectus says
Candidates who have appeared in the final semester/year exam in 2012, but with a backlog (arrears/failed subjects) in any of the papers in their qualifying degree should submit
1. A copy of any one of the marks sheets of the final year, OR
2. A letter from the principal indicating that the student has a backlog from an earlier semester/year to be cleared, and therefore cannot produce a course completion certificate now. This certificate will also be present in the last portion of the PDF application form provided to you after you submit application online.
The information related to those who completed the course and has arrears of papers. This candidate is not completed the program. What will be his position to write gate exam?

I got addmission in B_tech from Diploma direct in 2 year & according to it my degree duration is 3 year and also , I am in final and I have 1 paper arrears in fifth semester, which I have not passed yet. Is i am eligibile for Gate 2013 ???

i have 2 backlogs in 3rd and 5 th sem .can i appear for gate.if i qualify gate then can i take admission

Yes you can appear for GATE examination...
Candidates who have appeared in the final semester/year exam in 2012, but with a backlog (arrears/failed subjects) in any of the papers in their qualifying degree should submit several things-

i completed engineering course in 2014 . i have one arrear in 6th semester not yet cleared. now tell me im elligible for appearing gate 2015.if yes kindly tell me the procedure to apply
