I came to know that NET score is required to apply for MPhil at ISM (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad. Is it compulsory?

The basic qualification expected to apply for MPhil at Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad, is minimum 55% marks in the qualifying degree, NET qualification and interview. If sufficient net qualified candidates are not available, net not qualified candidates may be considered for admission to the programmes on the basis of performance in All India Written Test conducted by the School and interview. Date of All India Written Test is on 13.05.2012.
