Is there negative markign for GATE ?

There will be negative marking for wrong answers. The deduction will be 25% of the marks allotted.

for the first twenty questions 1 mark
from twenty one to fifty five 2 marks
for the rest which r 4 mark questions linked depends according to that

yes there is negative marking for MCQ in the GATE exam. For numerical questions, there is no negative marking.
The marks deduction pattern is:Â
for 1 mark question- 1/3 marks deduction.
for 2 mark question- 2/3 marks deduction.

Yes, there is some negative marking in the GATE exam for the MCQ section but there is no negative marking for Numerical questions.
negative marking pattern is :
1/3 for 1 mark question
2/3 for 2 mark question
