Which SET examinations are considered equivalent to UGC NET ?

UGC allowed some states to conduct examinations for selecting candidates as college lecturers. These states selects some universities to conduct such examinations. The main states/ universities allowed to do so are:
Osmania University – Andhra Pradesh
Mysore University – Karnataka
Bharthiar University – Tamilnadu
Pune University – Maharashtra
As per the current scenario, candidates who passed the abovesaid examinations before June 1, 2002 need not appear for UGC NET examination for lecturer selection
