yes Bharathiar University is offering such a programme.
Under the scheme, candidates, satisfying the eligibility criteria any where in India
and abroad can register for PhD programmes in
Arts,
Humanities,
Commerce,
Management and
Sciences,
under a guide who can be chosen from a Pool of Research
Supervisors available in India only and identified by Bharathiar University.
ELIGIBILITY
For purposes of admission to the Ph.D. Programme, a candidate should have obtained a Master’s Degree with a minimum of 55%(5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates in the minimum eligibility) marks in the qualifying examinations (10+2+3+2 system) or teachers working in colleges affiliated to Bharathiar University.
Candidates residing / working anywhere in India or abroad working in
Educational or other Institutions are eligible for registration. The candidate should
have a Master’s degree or M.Phil degree in the subject of any University recognized by
the University Grants Commission / Association of Indian Universities for Part time
External Registration for Ph.D. programme offered by Bharathiar University.
Candidates, satisfying the eligibility criteria can register for PhD programmes in
Arts, Humanities, Commerce, Management and Sciences, under a guide who can be

There is no age limit for the candidate.
Admissions for Ph.D. programme can be made four times in a year, i.e., January,
