Exemption from entrance exam for JRF at IGCAR

Is it compulsory to appear for entrance exam to apply for JRF position at IGCAR (Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research)?

Even though selection for JRF is done on the basis of written exam, exemptions are given for those candidates with GATE score higher than go percentile.but you need to appear for the interview.
