The financial assistance available under the scheme UGC Post Doctoral Fellowship given to SC/ST candidates is as follows:
Fellowship: @Rs.16,000-p.m. fixed for 2 years
Contingency A: @Rs.30000/-p.a. for 2 years
Departmental Assistance: 10% of Post Doctoral Fellowship to the host institution
Escorts/Reader assistance: @ Rs. 2000/- p.m. (fixed) in cases of physically disabled & blind candidates

Benefits given to UGC Post Doctoral Fellowship
The Fellowship of Rs 25,000/- p.m.given to fresh candidates without research experience, while this limit is Rs. 30,000/- p.m.-for research experience holders. A Contingency-Rs 50,000/-p.a.-for five years is also given to these research scholars.
