The Institute of Distance Education under the University of Kerala, Kariavattom, Thiruvananthapuram- 695581 (phone 0471-2417389/ 2418019/ 2412221) has invited applications for admission to the three-year Master of Hospital Administration (MHA) programme. The last date of receipt of application has been extended up to September 15. Graduates in any discipline are eligible to apply. Application forms can be downloaded from the website wwwJcera-launiversity.edu and can be submitted along with the demand draft for Rs.300 in favor of the Finance Officer University of Kerala, payable at the Service Branch of SBT/ SBI/ District Cooperative Bank, to the Director of the Institute.
The Master of Hospital Administration course is designed to impart advanced knowledge on specific sectoral areas of management of health services and hospital administration. The course will help students develop a sense of responsibility, innovative ability, analytical ability, effective communication and problem identification skills.
It will also strengthen the students' skills to search for valid solutions in different situations arising in health and hospital services. Admission to the MHA course shall be on merit in the qualifying degree examination.
The Child Development Centre, Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, organizes personal contact programmes every year for 20 days in two spells. Learning materials are sent to the students by post.
