#1
The School of Health at University of Northampton (UK) has started inviting applications for its three postgraduate courses - MSc Public Health, MSc Nursing and MSc Advanced Occupational Therapy.

The Advanced Occupational Therapy programme is one of the University’s most sought after courses by Indian students. The course aims to broaden horizons in terms of context and delivery of health and social care and gives students the opportunity to reflect on the current practice environment to consider effectiveness of intervention and the wider issues that impact on service delivery. It provides a flexible course of study which allows them to complete a post registration MSc profession specific award, at their own pace and in relation to their current circumstances. Students must be registered occupational therapists with an undergraduate degree or equivalent in order to apply for the course.

The Public Health (MSc) course has been designed to provide an integrated, coherent and multidisciplinary approach to public health activity. It emphasizes on advancing critical awareness and problem solving skills in order to develop innovative, reflective and pro-active approaches to meeting challenging and complex health needs. Examples include critical health issues such as obesity and mental health as well as those linked with public protection such as climate change and infectious diseases. The candidates who wish to apply for the course should hold a recognized first or second class honors degree in a subject area that demonstrates applicability to public health practice.

The MSc Nursing is designed to meet the needs of graduate nurses who wish to develop their careers into higher level practice, education and leadership roles. The award enables students to extend their knowledge and develop new understandings and insights. Those holding a Bachelors degree in nursing or related subject and are registered with a recognized Nursing Council are eligible to apply for the course.

These courses are offered with one year full time and commence in September/October 2012. The fee structure for the session is £9500. For an application form for the courses, please visit http://www.northampton.ac.uk/downloads/d...ation-form
