Hi there,
It's been four months since I am working as a mobile app developer aka software programming. And I think i've just reached the stage where i'm pretty sure it's not for me, i'm just more interested in something along the lines of media/marketing or i'd say some industry which is more people oriented rather than working on a computer writing software. I have a bachelor's degree in computer engineering and now I'm planning to quit the job and move into some marketing/media firm. What is the best way to go about it?
Some ideas I have from talking to people I know are:
-client servicing
-production runner or just production
-PR
-account handling (i.e. handling a client account at a firm, not accounts as in commerce)
It would be a great help if people here could explain a bit more about these occupations I've mentioned above.
Also from talking to people it seems that these roles mostly value soft skills a lot more than any specific skillset. I'm pretty confident about delivering on the soft skills, but what other aspects should I be most working on?
All and any suggestions would help greatly.
Thanks.
